7 Scots Pipes and Drums (51 Highland)

The history of 7th Battalion (51 Highland), The Royal Regiment of Scotland, dates back to the famous 51st Highland Division of the First and Second World Wars. More famously, the massed Pipes and Drums played a beating retreat at St Valery during the Second World War.

Although a Territorial Army Battalion, in recent years 7 Scots has been involved wherever the British Army. The Pipes and Drums has had members serve in Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia, Northern Ireland and Cyprus.

In recent years the Pipes and Drums has also been busy performing in the Novia Scotia International Tattoo, Luxembourg International Tattoo and travelled to France, Korea and Sweden along with many jobs throughout the UK. The band is currently preparing to enter the competition circuit after a long absence.
