13th February 2009, South Uist – As we welcome the year of homecoming, with the launch of a new silver celtic brooch, lapel pin from Hebridean Jewellery, a small Scottish gold and silver craft business based in the Outer Hebrides.
We have created this brooch, lapel pin for the homecoming 2009. Tillidh Mi is Gaelic for I will return. We hope that many people from various cultures will visit Scotland and take back a reminder of the culture of Scotland.
John M Hart Designer/MD designed and made the master pattern. The pin can be purchased online or at any of our retail outlets.
“It was difficult to come up with an appropriate idea for the design of a brooch to mark the occasion of the year of homecoming. I think this one will symbolise a sentiment many visitors to Scotland will have and it will make a fitting, worthy and lasting memento.” said John.
