2009 is Scotland's Year of Homecoming. A year when Scottish emigrants and descendants are encouraged to return home for a celebration of their Scottish roots.

As part of these celebrations, Stornoway Amenity Trust are organising a two day ceilidh in Stornoway on the 7TH & 8TH AUGUST 2009

Day1: Spectacular Tattoo on Lews Castle Green featuring seven pipe bands, including World Champions 78th Fraser Highlanders from Ontario, and Lewis Highland Games.

Day2: Carnival followed by Grand Concert featuring Dougie Maclean, 78th and Gaelic Choirs.

Associated heritage and genealogical events.
